Stand at the rim of Ngorongoro Crater, its verdant, prehistoric cauldron stretching out before you where life thrives in abundance. If we had never heard that sonorous name, if it were whispered to us for the first time as we ascended the flank of an ancient volcano, the impact would be no less profound. Ngorongoro would still be utterly mesmerizing—a symphony of life echoing through time.
The Maasai Mara, where golden grasslands meet the horizon, and the Great Migration unfolds as a primal dance of wildebeest and zebras. Here, the air vibrates with the pulse of survival, and every sunrise paints a new chapter in the epic saga of existence.
In an expedition of two weeks, the heart of Kenya and Tanzania beckons us. It’s not just about ticking off famous names; it’s about feeling the heartbeat of the land, connecting with its rhythms. These places are unique, irreplaceable—a canvas where nature wields its brush with unmatched artistry. And as we traverse these wild realms, we become part of their story, etching our own footnotes into the ancient soil.

October 27th
Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, Karen Blixen Museum & The Giraffe Center
Visit the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. The organization works in partnership with the Kenya Wildlife Service and hand rears orphaned baby elephants and rhinos, so that they can return to the wild herds of Tsavo when grown. Born from one family’s passion for Kenya and its wilderness, the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust was established 45 years ago and is best known for its Orphans' Project, the first and most successful elephant orphan rescue and rehabilitation program in the world. The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is a pioneering conservation organisation, dedicated to the protection of wildlife and the preservation of habitats in East Africa.
Continue your tour as you follow in the footsteps of Karen Blixen, as you travel along Langata, through Ngong Hills and Ngong Village and continue to the Karen Blixen Museum, contained in the house that was her home for many years and featured in the classic movie, "Out of Africa", which tells her story. A considerable effort was undertaken to retrieve much of the original furniture, which was sold off upon her return to Denmark. The area is now a green residential neighborhood, named Karen, in her honor.
Visit the Giraffe Center, situated in a rare indigenous forest on Nairobi’s western boundary. The Center is located on the estate of Betty Leslie-Melville's Giraffe Manor and is the headquarters for the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife and the "home" of Daisy, the famous Rothschild giraffe and her relatives. A specially designed observation platform offers you the opportunity to feed the full grown giraffe from your own hands. It’s an experience you won’t forget. Be sure to bring your camera for some superb photographic opportunities.
